This Award aims to provide practicing and potential first line managers
and supervisors with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform
effectively in the workplace both as managers and leaders.
The course will enable you to develop the knowledge and understanding of
different leadership styles or behaviours which exist in the workplace,
including an understanding of your own preferred leadership behaviours, and the
impact that these different styles are likely to have on behaviour of team
members. It further considers how leaders and managers can really engage staff
by understanding the real nature of motivation, and then use the necessary
skills to ensure their teams achieve outstanding results.
