The authority have organised 4 twilight roadshow briefings to ensure schools and academies are informed of the reasons why the authority will be seeking support to transfer up to 0.5% from the schools funding block to the high needs funding block for 2019/20 financial year.
It will be an opportunity for officers to provide an update on the work being undertaken to manage the high needs spend and for school and academy colleagues to ask questions.
The roadshows will be for Head teachers and other members of the senior leadership team, finance and business managers, chairs of governors and chairs of finance committees.
Places will be limited to no more than 3 attendees per school / academy. Please book your places by emailing CYPFinance@somerset.gov.uk with the names of attendees and the date/venue of the roadshow.
