2019 Shortlist for the CLiPPA Poetry Award



The 2019 shortlist for CLiPPA (Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Award) has been announced.

The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) has announced the 2019 shortlist for CLiPPA (Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Award).

Congratulations to Rachel Rooney, who has been nominated for her book, 'A Kid in My Class'. Rachel is a familiar name in classrooms around Somerset as she has been the 'Poet in Residence' at the annual poetry slam for primary schools organised by The Somerset Literacy Network and Resources for Learning.

Hosted by Dillington House, the next 'Slam' will take place on Friday 12th July. Don't forget to book your place if your school is a member of the Somerset Literacy Network or subscribes to the Resources for Learning Gold package.

The other shortlisted titles include:

·       Kwame Alexander for Rebound (Anderson Press)
·       Steven Camden for Everything All At Once (Macmillan Children's Books)
·       Philip Gross for Dark Sky Park (Otter-Barry Books)
·       Eloise Greenfield for Thinker: My Puppy Poet and Me (Tiny Owl)
