COVID -19 - Cleaning Regimes to improve infection control - is your product effective?

Thumbnail

Summary

Somerset County Council with the support of our Public Health colleagues have reviewed our cleaning regimes at our corporate buildings to improve infection control and introduced additional hard surface cleans at a number of our buildings.

Main News Story

We will also be introducing a cleaning product which has been tested to be effective against enveloped viruses such at COVID-19 and we wanted to share this information with schools.

To be effective when used, this product needs to be in contact with a surface for a period of five minutes.  This can be sprayed directly onto a hard surface and left for five minutes or wiped with a cloth soaked in spray that leaves a clear residue for five minutes.

The manufacturers and suppliers of Premier Products Viricidal Screen and Eliminator Max have provided SCC with written assurance that these products are viricidal and have been successfully tested against enveloped viruses.

If you wish to access these products please contact ADS, Newton Abbott, Devon. Email: Matt.Besley@adswsupplies.com

Where you are using alternative disinfectant products please check with the manufacturer that they are effective against enveloped viruses.
