Understanding Working Memory in the Classroom



This is a half day course, taking place on the 25th November at Long Sutton Golf Club near Langport, to introduce some of the theory of working memory, consider how this impacts learning in the classroom and what can be done to overcome this barrier to learning. It is open to SENCos, teachers and teaching assistants.

​What did you say? What shall I do? Working Memory in the Classroom. Introducing the different types of memory and in particular working memory; an area which can be overlooked or misunderstood in the classroom. This training looks at what it might feel like to be a student with limited working memory, what strategies we ourselves use to help our memory, and how we can support these students for whom these difficulties impact on learning in the classroom.
