SEND Services in Somerset – Striving for Improvement

You’re invited to a live Teams Q&A session Tuesday 13 October 10.00-11.00 with Julian Wooster Director Children’s Services Somerset County Council Becky Applewood, Deputy Director of Women’s and Children’s Health Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group.

Main News Story

Following the joint Ofsted/CQC inspection of Somerset’s SEND services in March 2020 Somerset County Council, parent carers, and our health and education partners have submitted a Written Statement of Action to Ofsted/CQC to address weaknesses outlined by inspectors.

The plan has been submitted to Ofsted and we hope to have a progress update.

Julian and Becky would like to offer you the opportunity to join this event and to ask any questions you may have about this, your own role or team, or SEND services in general during the live session.

Please join via the link if you can – don’t worry if you can’t – we aim to run these sessions approximately every six weeks, so you’ll get further opportunities to attend.
