​There are three options put forward for each of these two academic years and these are now available on the Somerset Consultation website: https://somerset.inconsult.uk. Anyone, including teachers, governors and members of the public is very welcome to provide their comments.  

It was agreed by the Somerset Joint Consultative & Negotiating Committee to consult on more than one option. Three options have been drafted, the first with a one week Autumn Half Term. This is the option favoured by most of our neighbouring authorities. The second option is a ten day break and the third option with two full weeks (10 days) for the Autumn Half Term and shortening the Summer School Holidays. 

Please circulate this as widely as possible by making parents, staff and organisations local to your school aware of the consultation. All comments received will be taken into consideration during the final decision-making process.

The deadline for responses for both consultations is Wednesday 24th March 2021.
