Summary

Today is National Child Exploitation Awareness Day (Thursday 18 March).

Main News Story

Along with our partners Avon and Somerset Police, we’re encouraging everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance to adults developing inappropriate relationships with children.

National Child Exploitation Awareness Day is an awareness-raising campaign by the NWG Exploitation Response Unit (formerly National Working Group For Sexually Exploited Children and Young People), a UK charitable organisation.

Somerset County Council is encouraging people to write a personal pledge on your hand to show support for the campaign and post your photo on social media with the hashtags #CEADay21 #StopCSE #HelpingHands

Please also tag Somerset County Council’s social media accounts:

Together we can make a difference and stop child exploitation.

Please report any concerns by dialling 101.
