Welcome to Rowling Class page,

We are embarking on an amazing whole school topic  'Africa'. We are working as a school with the charity 'Explorers Educate'. We had a visit from Benjamin the explorer this week to help launch this topic. We will be looking at animals across the African continent, in particular the White Rhino, whom are an endangered species. During this topic we shall be linking our work to many of our subjects. We shall be visiting Noah's Ark later in  the term, which you will receive details very shortly about.

Year 5 are taking part in forest school sessions, lead by Mrs Sinnott. Children must bring in their forest school clothes every Monday until half term. They must ensure that they have long trousers and long sleeved tops, wellington boots and an old coat.

As ever the children have been working hard on completing their times tables/division challenges and we really appreciate the work that is done at home, because as stated before the National Curriculum states that by the end of year 4 children should be fluent with their times tables. We do lot of work in school to practise instant recall of multiplication facts. It is vital that children feel confident with this skill. With this in mind we have sent home the Times Tables Rockstars user name and passwords. We would appreciate your continuing support in allowing your child/children to access the app. If there are any issues logging on please let me know. Please follow the link Times Tables Rockstars
