Lunches & ParentPay

Please ensure that all lunch orders are placed (and paid for if applicable) on ParentPay before midnight on Sunday 10th November 2019 for at least the weeks commencing 25th November 2019 & 2nd December 2019.


Please ensure that ALL ParentPay balances are cleared ASAP as failure to do so will affect future bookings. If you are experiencing difficulties in doing so, please contact Ms Coles in the office.


Christmas Lunch Day

Our annual Christmas Lunch Day will be on Wednesday 18th December 2019. If you wish your child to have a hot Christmas Lunch it will be available to book on ParentPay by the end of next week. The cost will be £2.53 per child.


Children In Need Fundraiser

The School Council would like to fundraise for the Children In Need Charity on Friday 15th November 2019 by wearing something yellow for Pudsey.


This can be a yellow bow, socks, gloves, spots, hat or any other accessory (School uniform still to be worn) Please bring your donation on the day. Thank you for your support.

Family Homework Project

We are looking forward to seeing your family homework project. As per previous letter, this can be a story, a poem, poster, sculpture, computer presentation, recipe, painting, photograph or a model based on our topic “No Place Like Home"


Please bring your project to school on Thursday 14th November 2019. There will be a Learning Exhibition on Friday 15th November 2019 from 2.30pm for you to view the exhibits.

Poppy Sale

We are currently selling Poppies in aid of Remembrance Day – Please bring donations in to school in a sealed envelope in your child's book bag if you wish to donate by Monday 11th November 2019.

Football Club

Our after school Premier Sports Football Club begins on Monday 11th November 2019 (bookable & payable on ParentPay) Please ensure that your child has football boots, shin pads and appropriate clothing for the activity.


We are still looking for a parent volunteer that would be happy to assist in walking the children to the schools sports field. Subject to weather conditions this will be the pick-up point also. Unfortunately, if we do not have anyone to assist, we are unable to run the club – this could be done on a rota basis if you are not able to commit to every week? Please contact Ms Coles in the school office if you are able to help.

Christmas Choir

NEW MEMBERS WANTED for the Churchstanton Christmas Choir. They will be performing at the Carol Service and the PTA Christmas Fayre. There is a payment item on ParentPay for £5.00 to cover 5 weeks from Thursday 14th November 2019 – Thursday 12th December 2019.


Tea & Chat

As I saw so many of you at Parents' Evenings this week, the next Tea & Chat will be on Monday 25th November at 3.00pm-3.30pm in the library. I look forward to welcoming our new and existing parents for an informal catch up. Kind regards, Claire Halstead, Head Teacher.


PTA Helpers & Raffle

The PTA are still looking for helpers for the Christmas Fayre. If you are able to assist, please contact Sara Moore or Rosie James via Facebook.


Raffle tickets have gone out this week along with a hamper donations letter, items to be brought into the school office as soon as possible.


Online Safety Date Reminder

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, we are pleased to announce that a member of County's Education Technology Team (Elim) will be coming to school on Tuesday 19th November 2019 to run a parents' session on Online Safety.


The session will take place in the school hall at 2.30pm. During the session, Mr Mustafic will support parents to:


•           Talk to their children about staying safe online

•           Explore the online world with their children

•           Agree rules with their children

•           Manage their safety settings & controls

Your child will bring home a copy of the Christmas Card that they created. If you wish to purchase any of these, please complete the order form and bring it to the school office (with cash in a labelled envelope) before Friday 15th November 2019.


The RSPB Wild School Challenge

A huge congratulations to all of the pupils and staff for achieving the Silver Wild School Challenge Award. By taking part, we not only help nature but we give pupils a valuable connection to nature experiences.
