Welcome to the Tour of Greenfylde School
Welcome to the tour of Greenfylde school.
This is the front entrance to the school, accessible from Silver Street, opposite the Minster Church.
When visiting the school, please ring the bell by the door and someone will be with you as soon as possible.
This building was built in the 1870s as Ilminster Boys' Grammar School. It closed as such in 1971, when Greenfylde opened.
This shows the rear of the main building and the playground. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a beautiful building and site in the heart of the town of Ilminster. Our buildings surround the playground and field areas.
This is the Reception class block, housing three classes containing our youngest children. These three classes have their own separate play areas, ensuring that these pupils can use the outdoor environment for learning as much as possible.
The first of the three classes for Reception children, aged 4 and 5 years.
This is the classroom of Mrs Caines and Mrs Linthorne.

This is the second Reception class, taught by Mrs Claire Harris. Every class has an interactive whiteboard for the use of both staff and pupils.

The third Reception class is taught by Mrs Elaine Pym.REP.bmp

In the main building is a Year 1 class taught by Miss Hann

Also in the main building is the Year 1 building taught by Mrs Snelson1NS.bmp

In the main building, adjacant to the Year 1 classes, we have a small library area which is regularly used by the pupils.
There is also a quiet working area where staff can work with individuals and groups.
