Welcome...

Haselbury Plucknett Church of England First School offers you and your children a warm welcome. The                      school is in the heart of Haselbury Plucknett village in South Somerset . We offer a successful learning                        environment to children from 2 to 8 years old, as we have our own pre- school.

Our school is a vibrant child centred place of learning. We are committed to ensuring that children are                       learning, safe and happy while in school. We believe that education is about focusing on the whole child                   through supporting their personal development:  academically, socially, culturally and spiritually. Our                         curriculum provides a rich and varied mixture of experiences that encourages all pupils to build on their                   skills, knowledge and understanding.  Our lessons are based inside and outside. We are fortunate to                  have a large field to the back of the school, where sports and Forest School take place.

Everyone in our school is committed to being part of a supportive and caring community. Every child is treated as a unique individual. We ensure children’s specific needs are catered for – whether it is developing skills or talents or challenging them achieve to their best with areas of the curriculum.

We believe that positive and successful education is about working together. We welcome parental and community involvement in our school. We are fortunate to be situated in a supportive village community. We have many volunteers and an active PTA.

I hope you enjoy visiting our website and this will give you a glimpse into our wonderful school. If you are considering sending your child here, we would love to meet you and shown you around.

Please don’t hesitate to contact our school office if you have any questions or would like to visit us.
