SEN Local Offer

Maria McLelland SENCo

Merriott First School is a fully inclusive school and we are proud of the way that our school manages the needs of all children, including those with learning difficulties or those who require special educational provision. We are very proud of our award 'Somerset's Inclusive Dyslexia Friendly Status' which recognises the inclusive provision we provide for pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties. On this page you will be able to read our local offer for Special Educational Needs below. You will also be able to access other useful information such as an information leaflet for parents which can be downloaded by clicking on the word icon. Our School Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is Mrs Maria McLelland who is also a teacher in Golden Class/ Reception Year. She works as SENCo one day a week, on Fridays and can be contacted on 01460 72547 if you have any queries regarding Special Educational Needs.
