British Values

As a Church of England Primary School, we learn and live through our chosen Christian Values, which include:

Thankfulness
Hope
Friendship
Wisdom
Trust

These values, as well as our christian values, are explored through our daily acts of worship. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from worship and arrangements will be made on an individual basis.

A Poem written by Year 5 about British Values:

We know the difference between wrong and right,

There is no need to argue or fight.

Sit-up, follow and you will see

How bright your life can really be.

That’s why we’re proud to be British!

We can all vote together,

Because we’re all in this forever.

Democracy is in your hands,

Power to the people of the land.

That’s why we’re proud to be British!

Individual liberty

That’s got to be the thing for me!

We all have talents we want to share,

There’s no need to be in despair.

That’s why we’re proud to be British!

Respect is something given for free.

Respect is about us, and never about me.

Respect is what we like to see.

Respect is important for you and me.

That’s why we’re proud to be British!

Your religion you don’t have to lose

You can be whoever you choose.

We have our own choice,

So don’t be afraid to use your voice.

That’s why we’re proud to be British!
